Welcome to Albums. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Albums website and service available at https://albums.ink (the "Service"). The Service is operated by Albums ("we", "us", "the Operator"); the operator’s full legal and registration details are available on request at the address in section 12. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
Albums lets you create multimedia albums — photos, videos and voice notes organized into chapters and stories — publish posts, share them publicly or privately, connect with friends, and collect photos from guests in shared event albums.
You sign in with a Google account. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. You must be at least 13 years old (or the higher minimum age required in your country) to use the Service.
You keep all rights to the photos, videos, audio and text you upload ("Content"). By uploading Content you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, process (for example, resize or transcode), and display it — only as needed to operate the Service and only to the audience you choose with your privacy settings. This license ends when you delete the Content or your account, except where limited retention is required for legal reasons or backups.
You must own or have the necessary rights to everything you upload, including the consent of people identifiable in your media where required by law.
We may remove or hide Content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Users can report Content from within the Service; reports are reviewed by our moderation team.
The Service offers optional paid features, described on the Pricing page:
What happens when the included year ends. We notify you in advance and offer three choices: renew storage, download everything as a single archive, or move the album into the Service as an ordinary album. If you choose nothing, we move it for you — your files stay, remain viewable and shareable, and are kept at display quality instead of original resolution. Original-quality copies are removed 30 days after the move, and we tell you before that happens. Nothing is deleted because a payment stopped, and the option to download everything stays available to you at any time.
Prices are listed in US dollars; applicable taxes may be added at checkout. Payments are processed by third-party payment providers, which may act as merchant of record for your purchase; your card details never reach us. If you stop paying for Pro, nothing you uploaded is deleted, but uploads may be paused while you are over the free storage limit. Refunds are handled as described in the Refund Policy. We may change prices for future billing periods with advance notice.
The Service is funded in part by advertising. We show our own promotions, and we may show advertising served by third-party advertising partners. Where the law requires consent, no advertising partner is loaded until you have given it; you can give, refuse or withdraw consent at any time through the Privacy choices link in the footer, and refusing does not restrict your access to any part of the Service. How advertising data is handled is described in the Privacy Policy. Whether a paid feature removes advertising is stated on the Pricing page for that feature. We do not allow advertisers to target you using the content of your private albums, your media files or your email address.
How we collect and use personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
The Service, including its software, design and branding, belongs to the Operator. These Terms do not grant you any rights to it beyond the right to use the Service as intended.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". We work to keep it reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation and recommend keeping your own copies of irreplaceable media. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claims related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or your mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or where required by law. Upon termination, sections that by their nature should survive (content licenses needed for legal compliance, liability limits, disputes) survive.
We may update these Terms as the Service evolves. For material changes we will give notice within the Service or by email before the changes take effect. Continuing to use the Service after the changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
