Refund Policy
Effective date: October 1, 2026 · Published: August 29, 2026 · Updated: October 1, 2026
We want you to be happy with Albums. This policy explains when we refund payments for the paid features listed on the Pricing page. It does not limit any non-waivable rights you have under the consumer law of your country.
Purchases made through the Paddle checkout are sold by our online reseller Paddle.com, the Merchant of Record, and are also covered by the Paddle refund policy. The Service is operated by Vladislav Poklontsev (Albums.ink).
1. Pro subscription ($9.99/month)
- Cancel anytime. Cancelling stops future charges; Pro stays active until the end of the period you already paid for. No partial refunds for the remainder of a billing period.
- 14-day refund on your first payment. If Pro didn't work out for you, request a refund within 14 days of your first Pro payment and we will refund it in full — no questions asked.
- Renewals. If a renewal charged you unexpectedly, request a refund within 14 days of that charge and we will refund that renewal in full, as long as you have not meaningfully used Pro features in the new period. To avoid future charges, cancel before the next renewal date.
2. Event Album (one-time purchase)
- Before anything is uploaded — full refund within 14 days. You can get a full refund on request within 14 days of purchase, as long as no photos or videos have been uploaded to the event album yet (by you or by your guests).
- After the first upload — non-refundable. An Event Album is digital content and a digital service that starts working as soon as it is used. When you buy it, you acknowledge that it is made available to you immediately and that your right to a change-of-mind refund ends once the first photo or video is uploaded to the album. From that moment the service is being delivered (storage at original quality is reserved and used), so the purchase is no longer refundable.
- Faults on our side are always refunded. If a technical fault on our side prevented the event album from working and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, we refund in full, whether or not anything was uploaded.
- Wrong tier. If the tier you bought turns out to have too little storage, you never pay twice: you move up to the larger tier and pay only the price difference between the two tiers. This applies whether or not guests have started uploading.
3. Storage extension
- Within 14 days. If you extended storage for an event album and changed your mind, contact us within 14 days of the charge. We refund it in full and move the album to display quality, keeping every file.
- After 14 days. An extension pays for 6 months of storage already reserved for you, so it is not refunded in part. You can download the whole album as an archive at any time, before or after.
- Extensions are never automatic. Storage is only extended if you choose to extend it, so an unexpected extension charge should not happen. If one does, tell us and we refund it in full regardless of the 14 days above.
4. Technical problems
If a paid feature was unavailable or broken due to a fault on our side and we cannot fix it within a reasonable time, we will refund the affected payment in full. This applies to both Pro and Event Albums.
5. How to request a refund
You can request a refund in either of these ways:
- email [email protected] from the address linked to your account, with the approximate date and amount of the charge — we answer within 3 business days; or
- for purchases made through Paddle, visit paddle.net, look up your order and select “Request refund”, or use the support link in your Paddle receipt.
Approved refunds are returned to the original payment method; depending on your bank and the payment provider, the money typically arrives within 5–10 business days.
6. Chargebacks
Please contact us before opening a dispute with your bank — almost every issue is faster to resolve directly. Paddle, as Merchant of Record, may also issue a refund itself under its own refund policy and applicable consumer law.
7. Abuse
We may decline refunds where we see abuse of this policy (for example, repeated purchase-and-refund cycles) or violations of the Terms of Service that led to account suspension.
